Trees have been a beautiful and important subject throughout the history of art. Building on the previous Wipe-Out Technique class, Kathleen shows you how she creates "portraits" of specific trees.
Trees have individual and complex structures that reveal their underlying form. In the two-session workshop, she focuses on revealing their portrait qualities:
Session 1: Using a limited palette, Kathleen blocks in color over a dry underpainting. This approach provides a solid structure of space and form.
Session 2: In the second session, she continues to build form over the dry, blocked-in painting.
