The complex geometry of garden roses make them both exquisite and extremely challenging. Drawing gives you an enjoyable and low-pressure way to ease into this rewarding subject. If you can draw your subject, you will understand how it tackle it in painting. In this two-session workshop, Kathleen will use both graphite and charcoal to "see through" the surface of the rose to grasp its underlying structure.
Session 1: Graphite
Session 2: Charcoal
