What exactly is a color string? It's a group of pre-mixed paints arranged in tonal values. When subjects are extremely subtle in hue, value and chroma, perceiving and mixing color can prove challenging. Using value strings can streamline and simplify the accuracy of your color mixing.

This method of palette organization offers a logical and effective way to mix naturalistic color. Pre-mixed color provides a kind of "typewriter." And you don't have to hunt and peck for each tone!
